I saw these initials carved into a Prickly Pear cactus pad in the western part of Texas near Palo Duro Canyon. It was in a picnic area overlooking the rim of the canyon. I'm sure its a well visited area. When we were there, there was two other groups of people enjoying their picnic lunches. After we ate, we walked around and I took a lot of photos of the many cacti that were there, all of which had glorious blooms. When I saw this, I was saddened that someone would so carelessly do something like this. Obviously, the wounds in the pad will never heel. We were there in the Spring of 2017, and you can see that this damage was done in '15. What a needless desecration of nature.
