Several of you have mentioned that you are enjoying my race car shots from Bonneville Salt Flats - I have many more to post, so I'll sprinkle them into the Daily gallery. Thank you for your kind comments.
Bonneville = Bleak! White, white salt - not sand, it's truly salt. This guy has a long stretch of salt to go over in order to get to the finish line.
This is a shot of a motorcycle w/ sidecar, just as he took off from the start line. I loved the bleakness of the shot and all the white that surround him in his all-black gear. Bonneville's racing lanes are 5 miles long - and he's got a long way to go. But he did well. He didn't set a record that day, but he was very, very close within his class.
Check this out in the larger sizes - so far it's one of my favorite Bonneville shots.
Thank you all for your comments this week. I have been totally covered up with work - long days, and late nights of entertaining, so my apologies that I have not been able to comment much this week. I will do my best to comment over the weekend - I love seeing the wonderful work of my fellow smugmuggers. Critiques welcome.
Hope you enjoy.
