What the heck is it??????
Well, I'm not totally sure that I can say precisely what it is, but I can tell you that it's a part of the machinery in the basement of the old Grist Mill (see recent photos from the Aztec Mill Museum) in New Mexico. The equipment was very, very old and hadn't been in operation for decades, but all of it was still in the dark basement of the museum. Bill, of course, was checking it all out & trying to figure out how it all worked. This is the inside of one of the pieces that worked the grinding mechanism. I just liked the way it looked with all the old worn wood and rusted metal, the spokes and the patterns that they made when I looked up inside it. Here's a photo of entire piece, but, again it's just a little part of the equipment that filled the basement:
Hope you enjoy this little odd photo today, and that you all are having a fantastic & sunshine filled Saturday!
