An old chuck wagon that was one of the hundreds (maybe thousands) of historical items found in the Aztec Mill Museum in Cimarron, New Mexico. I gave a brief history of the museum in the text of day before yesterday's POTD. This SOOC shot is worthy of a look at the larger sizes to see all the items in the back of this old chuck wagon. This chuck wagon was used locally on one of the ranchs for many years before it was donated to the museum. I think you'll find some of the labels on the cans to be familiar. There's lots of history to see in this photo.
I loved the tones of the old wood in this place that seemed to glow in the afternoon light. You may recall from yesterday's POTD that this mill was built in 1864 and is essentially unchanged except for all the historical items that are now calling the museum home. The old grist mill equipment in the basement is still there unchanged for more than 100 years even though it hasn't been an operating mill since the 1950s.
Thanks for all you comments, they are so much appreciated. It's nice to be a part of a community of such avid and talented photographers.
Have a great weekend.
