Here's another of my favorites from the trip to Greece in 2001. This is a scan of a film photo and is sooc except for the Picnik frame that I added (gosh, I'm going to miss Picnik for it's framing capabilities).
This is from the Island of Mykonos (which is lovely, by the way). I really enjoyed seeing this old man resting in from of the "Folk Museum" and it made me smile, so I took his photo.
After I snapped this shot, I went over to him and he & I visited for a little while. In his broken English he told me that he had just lost his wife of 60 years just weeks before and he was trying to find ways to fill his life with happiness. He told me that his neice owned this place. He said that he came here each day to enjoy the sun, do some people watching, visit with his neice & sometimes his sister & to spend the day enjoying conversations with locals and tourists alike. He was so nice and shared lots of history with me.
Check this out in X3.
