Street Scenes - Lgood

January 23, 2014

This young man was standing in front of me, and talking to another young man standing beside me. He said, "usted lo consiguió" which means "you got it"? At least that's what I thought he said. Who knows? I could be totally wrong, but it was a happy exchange.

Doesn't his body language just SAY that?

He saw me taking his photo, so he and I tried to talk to each other.

Loved the curly hair of the little girl on the back of his bike. My Spanish is not good, so he and I tried to communicate. He liked that I took his photo. I asked if that was his sister, or his daughter (Hermana or Hija), he said Hermana. We parted with smiles. He had a hard time with my Spanglish, and I had difficulty with his Spanish. But we communicated with each other. Isn't that great? What a sweet encounter it was.

"No community values entrepreneurship and small business more than the Hispanic (or Spanish - my add) community. ~ Marco Rubio

Have a "Sweet" day today my friends.

Critiques welcome.
