January 19, 2014 Here's my A find! I haven't had any time at all to find letter shapes, but today I walked all around the house, looked at several things, walked outside and the "A" smacked me right in the face. This obviously is a broken limb on one of our Red Oak trees. Recently we had a tremendous ice storm and the trees really suffered. I was so worried about our young Red Oaks! Even though we did get a number of broken limbs, all in all we were luckier than some who lost big trees. Have a blessed Sunday my friends, here's wishing you good hunting in this challenge. April 20, 2014 Here's my submission for the alphabet challenge. This is my "N" Bill's addition to his workshop has been a wealth of alphabet shapes. This "N" was not a set up, it was photographed as I found it. The workshop is much further along today than it was in this photo. I'll post some "finished" photos soon. I'm loving this challenge, difficult though it has been. I would like to thank Judy (fotoeffects) for creating it, as it has stretched me in my hunt for Letters, that aren't letters. Last Saturday, I broached the subject of another challenge and put forth some ideas (from others). I didn't get any comments, so I suppose that means that we aren't close enough to the end of this challenge or (like me) everyone is too busy to think about it. Nevertheless, I mention it again to try to get the creative juices flowing. I'd like to start talking about a new challenge in the next several weeks. Have a 'T-Square" sort of day my friends. The Letter P

May 4, 2014 P was a bit difficult for me, and I've not had a lot of time to get out and hunt for letter shapes. As I was pondering P's I noticed that this Rooster that I have in my kitchen had a "P" shape (sort of) to his tail. So, here's my P for the challenge today. I'm looking forward to everyone's entries today. Thank you Judy (fotoeffects) for creating this fun and challenging event.. Sorry I didn't comment much yesterday., We had the 8 year old grandson's birthday party from 10:00 a.m to 2:00 p.m. Then we had 7 of the 9 grands at the house the rest of the day and all of them spent the night. We had to get them up early, feed them breakfast & get them ready for church this morning. This afternoon, we are having our 3rd annual car club picnic. Lunch is at 1:00. Bill and I made 10 gallons of tea, a huge pan of macaroni & cheese, 5 gallons of pinto beans, homemade bar-b-que sauce, 4 smoked briskets and 4 pork butts that we put in the smoker last night at 9:00 p.m. - They'll be done about 11:00 today. We are expecting 80 - 100 people here for the picnic. So Grandma & Grandpa were crazy busy yesterday, and last night with the kids & the plans for the picnic. I leave for another business trip Tuesday, I'll do my best to catch up on comments while I'm gone. The Letter Q!

May 11, 2014 Thank goodness that Bill's workshop has yielded me many alphabet shapes for this challenge. Thank you Judy (fotoeffects) for suggesting this for us, it's been great fun and has stretched everyone's imagination. I'm looking forward to the next 9 weeks of photos. This is an air-hose reel that is attached to the car lift in the front (older) part of Bill's home workshop. I had to flip the photo so it looked like a "Q", but it worked for me. A Lowercase "r" for the Alphabet Challenge

May 18, 2014 Thanks so much for your kind comments on my Tango III re-worked shot of the dancers in red that I posted yesterday. I greatly appreciate you guys. Today, I give you my rather lame, but passable "R" shot for the challenge. This is a bronze sculpture of some sort of shore bird (I think) that I decided looked like a lowercase R. Most of my alphabet shapes for this challenge have come from around the house and of course in Bill's workshop. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's shots for the challenge today. I'll be flying off for another week in Birmingham tomorrow. I'll try to comment as time allows. Have a grand week! I Give You My "S" Photo

May 25, 2014 S was a very difficult letter for me to find. Bill, Ashlee and myself were having dinner one night at our local Olive Garden, and I spotted this "S" shape on the ceiling lights. It was the only "S" shape I've found. Whew, I was glad to find something that looked like an S. Looking forward to all the alphabet shapes today. This has been a great & challenging event. The Letter "T"

June 1, 2014 T was pretty easy, there were lots of them all over the place that I took photos of. Most of them were common objects. I chose this one because it's a little unusual and odd, and shows a bit of age. It's the remains of a sign frame in front of a little Mom and Pop bait store. I thought it was sort of cool. June 8, 2014 As most of you know, Bill's workshop has provided a lot of letter shapes for me during this alphabet challenge (thank you Judy Horton!). For my "U" I present the tension adjustment on Bill's band saw. He's had this saw for many years, but it still works like a champ! I'm looking forward to all of the alphabet shapes today!!! The Letter "O"

April 27, 2014 There are LOTS of O's in this shot. This is a clock that I bought for Bill for his birthday a few years ago. It hangs in his workshop. It is comprised of several gears, each one of them turn in different directions as the time ticks off each day. He loves it, and so do I. So, not only is the clock an O shape, there are several O's inside it too. So I present multiple "O's" today Looking forward to all the letters today! This is a single-car bridge over a small creek near our house in Texas. It's a very pretty area with lots of trees, and small, winding roads. The Letter Z!

July 13, 2014 I had a better Z photographed somewhere in my millions of photos, but for the life of me I couldn't find it. After searching, I gave up and went out to Bill's workshop in search of something that could even remotely resemble a Z. His workshop delivered once again - this magnifying light sort of looks like a Z. Oh well, it was the best I could do on the spur of the moment. PP was done in Topaz Simplify which added a little more interest. Looking forward to seeing everyone's entries in the challenge today. What's our next challenge? I'm game with whatever the majority vote is. ... Rick's logo challenge? Food? Billiejean's abstracts? They all sound fun! Still On Sunday's? How long would the duration be?
