College Fjord Glacier
November 14, 2015
This is a small portion of the Yale Glacier in College Fjord National Park Alaska. As mentioned before, all of the glaciers in the park are named for major colleges. The Harvard is the most well known and center-most glacier in the fjord, and widest, but the others have a unique beauty of their own. I liked the Yale Glacier a lot for it's thin profile, yet massive ice
This photo of the Yale Glacier pictures the ice flow about midway up from the water-line of the Fjord, and it shows a nice view of the mountains surrounding the glacier. It's best viewed in larger sizes.
"Glacial pace is actually an incorrect concept. The glaciers move a lot faster and they react a lot faster than people imagine." ~ James Balog

Have a grand day today my friends!
