“I was so naive as a kid I used to sneak behind the barn and do nothing.” ~ Johnny Carson
This old barn was somewhere along the road as we drove from Dallas to Lexington, KY to take Bill's '66 Fairlane to the national Fairlane Club car show. This trip was fun, but we didn't get to explore much. Most of my photos (as this one) was taken from the passenger side of the truck pulling the trailer with the Fairlane - as we roared down the road to Lexington I tried to take some shots from the truck. You'll see some shots of the wonderful Fairlane's and other mid-size cars that were at the national show in days to come.
I thought this barn had simple character with it's many layers of paint and textures. Who knows how long it has stood on this spot, and wouldn't you love to hear the stories of history witnessed that it could tell if it could speak.
Have a simple day of happiness today my friends!
