Great Egret Hunting ~ by Linda
March 3, 2023
This is an older photo that I took of the Egret (I think) on White Rock Lake near Dallas. I was there enjoying the photo ops with our good friend Bill Boyd.

3 weeks agoLinda, That's a fantastic photo you captured of this Great Egret with its neck stretched out, ready to capture a fish.

3 weeks agoThe loooong neck sure helps to find the baitfish which stray into the deadly range of that mean bill. Classic egret hunting pose.

3 weeks agoExcellent capture Linda of this Egret & they are so fun to observe while looking for a meal!
(Some of our spring birds are coming back to Wisconsin already. We've seen Robins, & heard & seen many Sandhill Cranes for the past 2 weeks. Grackles & heard a Killdeer yesterday)
