Happy Birthday to my Daughter Chenoa!
September 4, 2019
Today is my daughter Chenoa’s 43rd birthday. She’s probably not going to be really happy with me for telling how old she is, but she’s not a member of SmugMug so I can get away with it. 😊 This is a selfie that she took of herself when she decided to try a bit of purple/pink in her hair. LOL. Her natural hair is very blonde like mine. This is my granddaughter Ashlee’s mother. It’s amazing how much we all look alike at certain ages. I guess the genes are strong.
Her name is pronounced “Sha-Noa” (the last half of her name is
pronounced Noah), like Noah in the Bible.
Her name is American Indian and means Dove. I found it in the World Book Encyclopedia of names when I was about 8 years old. Wow, who remembers encyclopedias? I remember them fondly, as they were a big part of my early reading.
“My daughter is the biggest gift; I've said it so many times and it sounds like a cliché, but the thing about being a parent is when you think you've cracked it, and you're on top of your game, they change again and you have to catch up and adjust. I feel such a responsibility to instill good values in her, to be polite, to have discipline.” ~ Geri Halliwell
Thank you for your comments and critiques, always appreciated.
Have a fine day today!
