My High School Dream Car!
June 6, 2014
The 1969 Dodge Charger was the car that I most wanted in High School, but alas - I got to drive the family's 2nd car the 1963 Ford Galaxie 500. It wasn't a cool car back in the day, but it was wheels, so I was happy with what I got.
But how I would have loved a Charger, especially a black one like this. According to http://www.coolmaterial.com the '69 Charger was one of the top 15 classic cars that defined cool. This is what they said about the Charger:
"If there’s one thing we know about the ’69 Charger, it’s aerodynamic. At least that’s what we learned from Bo and Luke Duke. The ’69 Charger is a thing of beauty whether it’s a General Lee or not. It may never get the billing its Mustang counterparts always do, but the fastback look and all American style will never go out of fashion." I have to agree with that statement!
"Cars and cameras are the two things I let myself be materialistic about. I don't care about other stuff." ~ Louis C. K.
Have a classic day today my friends!

on June 6, 2014Oh my my my, what a beauty! This car model and year was my older sister's HS graduation present. WOW did it fly! When she got married years later her husband hated "the tank" as he called it and they sold it. Now he restores and shows Mopar and hot rod cars and kicks himself everyday for getting rid of it. It was and still is a hot car!
