This bridge spans the Red River on Highway 78 which crosses from Fannin County, Texas into Bryan County Oklahoma. It was built as a federal relief project during the Great Depression as a part of President Franklin Roosevelt’s New Deal. It replaced an older suspension bridge that collapsed on January 15, 1934. The view here is from the Texas side looking across the bridge into Oklahoma. This is a three-shot HDR, and it was taken on a rainy day.
