First - before I give you the details on this photo, I'd like to say thank you to everyone that commented on my Buenos Aires Mural's shot yesterday. Thank you!!! And a special thanks to Terry Allen who remembered that the area was called La Boca - I had forgotten. Thanks Terry.
I think I've mentioned this before, but in case I haven't ..... Bill semi-retired from Americase, the company he founded 30 years ago in his home garage. His son assumed his old role as President & CEO, and Bill is now Chairman of the Board. At his retirement party, his son presented this amazing piece of art to him as a thank you gift. Bill was really surprised, and the crowd that was at the party was in awe of this cool creation. Robby (Bill's son) designed this and overaw the construction of it in the Americase factory.
It is now mounted over the roll up door that separates the front of Bill's home workshop from the rear. It is lit and it makes a really nice piece of art for the workshop. The blue cursive writing in the lower right portion of the globe is Bill's actual signature, recreated in neon. The shapes of the countries are hammered, artificially aged copper and the rest is stainless steel and aluminum.
Bill was so proud of this and blown away to receive it from his son. To say that he really is retired is a total misnomer. I said the only difference is that now he doesn't go to the factory every day, and he can take a day off without guilt, but he is still working on R&D - just from home.
I'm headed off again for another week away from home this morning. Sigh. I'll do my best to comment while I'm gone. Thank you for your comments and critiques on my photos. I learn so much from each of you.

Have a blessed day today my friends!
