Hi Turtle ~ by Linda
January 31, 2023
This handsome guy is one of the sea turtles that live at the Corpus Christi, Texas State Aquarium. He and a few friends live in the outside natural lagoon-like habitat where visitors can watch them swimming and interacting with each other. They are curious, and this one came right of to the glass where I was standing. I think he wanted me to take his photo. So, I obliged him. Most of the turtles that are in the special tank have been rescued from the Gulf of Mexico in either an injured state, or they have been cold-stunned and need rehabilitation. When they are well enough, they are released back into the gulf.
“Try to be like the turtle – at ease in your own shell.” ~ Bill Copeland
Thank you for your comments and critiques, I do appreciate them very much!
Stay warm today my friends!

on February 1, 2023Such an amazing creature, in its own right. How wonderful that there is a rescue and rehabilitation option for them, so that they can eventually be released into the ocean again. Kind lifts one's spirit to see such good work being done.
