As most of you know, I love old motel signs. I’ve photographed probably 100 of them. They take me back to a time that was a little more simple where families delighted in having dinner together, and spending their summer vacations driving the highways and byways of America.

on March 23, 2023I stayed at many places very similar to this motel during my childhood. It was always so exciting exploring a new place and playing on a different set of playground equipment, if the motel provided it. I always was on the lookout for interesting rocks for my collection, which consisted mostly of quartz and flint.
