1956 Chevy Nomad
June 28, 2014
This is a definite TGIF for me. I've been in Birmingham all week working. Long, long hours. So I'm headed home late this afternoon, and I will be so glad to get there and see Bill, enjoy our home and just kick back for the weekend.
I've always loved Nomads even when they were first on the market, or at least the first time I saw one. And, I still love them today. They remind me of childhood and those rare, but fun family vacation road trips in the family station wagon. Our station wagon wasn't this cool, but we thought it was a great car and it was for my sister, brother & me.
Enjoy this old beauty! I loved the car hop tray in the window and the old picnic container.
" 'Cars' was about Lightning McQueen learning to slow down and to enjoy life. The journey is the reward. ~ John Lasseter
That's mine and Bill's belief too. It's not so much about the destination, it is ALL about the journey and the discoveries you make along the way.
Have a delightful journey today my friends.
