Fashion From The Past
July 25, 2017
You've all seen some wonderful cars and fashion from the Fountainhead Antique Auto Museum in Fairbanks, Alaska, and these three dresses are no exception.
The red one on the left is described as "A two piece red silk dress with latticed bands of crimson velvet on the sleeves and the skirt. Black and Ivory inset lace at the collar and velvet flower accents the bodice. The label reads "Chas A. Stevens & Bros, Chicago." Attributed to legendary Colorado personality Baby Doe Tabor." Circa 1905-1907.
The middle dress is described as "A girl's party dress. An iridescent blue silk with leg-of-mutton sleeves and a red velvet sash." Circa 1893
The third dress is described as "A two piece black velvet dress with a heavily beaded bodice." Circa 1894-1895
This is best viewed in large size.
Thank you for your comments and critiques on both my new and old photos.
Have a lovely day today my friends.
