Over-Cooked Cotton Boll
February 6, 2020
Back in 2016 (I think) we took one of our driving vacations and stumbled across a Plantation home (Lakeport) in Louisiana, on the banks of the Mississippi River. We were there in either November or December. There was a tiny little patch of unharvested cotton near the home. Obviously, the cotton was well past its time of harvest. Nevertheless, I liked the look, so here’s a photo of the over-cooked boll.
“Cotton was a force of nature. There’s a poetry to it, hoeing and growing cotton.” ~ BB King
Thank you for your comments and critiques, they always make me happy.
Look for the old that is still beautiful.
