This is the rear entry view of the Fayette County Courthouse in La Grange, Texas. This is the fourth courthouse in La Grange which was dedicated in April of 1891. The 800-pound bell that was housed in the third courthouse was made a part of this one. The three-story building is masonry and stone in the Romanesque Revival style. The exterior walls are built from blue sandstone from Muldoon, Texas and trimmed with red Pecos sandstone, granite from Burnet, Tx and white limestone from Belton, TX. It is a pretty courthouse.
