Nearly Gone But Still Pretty in A Curious Way

I believe that this was a Queen's Anne Lace wildflower that has gone to seed; however, I'm not sure. We have so many great experts in SM, so I'm anxious to see what you think this is.

There's a saying in Alaska, "When the fireweed's gone to cotton, summer's long forgotten." Looks like this is the same for the QA lace. Great photo.
