Almost a Ghost Sign ~ by Linda
March 22, 2023
This faded old sign is in Bartlett, Texas on the side of one of the downtown buildings. It’s not quite a ghost sign, but it is on its way to being one in the years to come. I loved the colors and the design. I couldn’t find any information as to when it was painted, but the “style” of the women’s hair and make-up makes me think of the roaring 1920’s when “Flappers” with bobbed hair were in vogue.

on March 22, 2023It does look like it's been there awhile, but maybe not 100 years! Wrigley's has been around since 1891, but not sure that building was! ;-)

on March 22, 2023It makes me think of flappers, as well! I really like the design with the graduated siizes of the women's heads and the varying colors of the hat! Really cool discovery, Linda! I am glad you captured this for posterity!
