Thank you all for the comments on my Fall color collage yesterday. They are much appreciated.
In September of this year, we enjoyed a driving trip up the eastern side of Oklahoma. We had such a wonderful time, and even though the weather was wet and rainy most of the time, it didn’t keep us from enjoying some great little towns along the way. In the town of Salisaw, there is a wonderful mural that depicts the history from the native Americans to the 1970s. This fun portion of the mural is obviously from the 1950s. At some point in the future, I will post some other portions as well as the whole of the mural.
“In the 7th grade, I made a 20-foot long mural of the Lewis and Clark Trail while we were studying that in history because I knew I wasn't going to be able to spit back the names and the dates and all that stuff on a test.” ~ Chuck Close
