AND THROUGH THE RAIN WE GO
November 27, 2018
Bill oftentimes buys machinery at auctions and then resells it. It’s one of the things that he enjoys because he can refurbish them which is what he is happiest doing. He likes to make something almost new again. Some of the auctions are a day’s drive away from home. Recently, he bought quite a number of large items, and therefore we had to take the company’s box truck. Let me tell you, riding in the passenger seat of that truck for about 6 hours in a day is a beating. 😊 My smart watch told me that I had exercised for 6 hours that day – trust me, I didn’t. It was just the roughness of the ride.
In order to entertain myself on the trip, I took some photos along the way. Of course I know that 18-wheeled trucks throw up a large amount of water; however, the perspective from the cab of a big truck is a lot different that from my car. So I took a few shots and I liked this one best. And, by the way….it rained most of the day and night. Nevertheless, it was an adventure and Bill and I had time to laugh about the trials of the trip.
I decided to share this one with you today only because it tells the story of a rainy day on the road. I liked the water patterns it made on the windshield of our truck.
“Sleepin' in the truck wasn't so bad. Shoot, I kind of liked that, myself.” ~ Chris LeDoux
