War Horse ~ by Linda
May 4, 2022
This statue is in Mt. Dora, NM in front of a hotel. I am assuming it could be bronze, but I really don’t think so because there was no patina. I’d love your ideas of what type of metal it might be made of. I loved the detail in the horse, the American Indian and his shield. I tried to get a photo of it that would show the face of the warrior, but the background was so littered with cars, signs and such. I’m not skilled enough in Photoshop to remove the busy background, so I chose to post this side of the public art piece. It was wonderful to see.
“The horse does one of two things. He does what he thinks he’s supposed to do, or he does what he thinks he needs to do to survive.” ~ Ray Hunt
Thank you for your comments and critiques, I do appreciate them very much!
Have a day of joy!

2 weeks agoWonderful sculpture! I would love to see it out in the empty countryside rather than in town, just for the photo of it! ;-) I had never heard of Mount Dora, so I Googled it--lots of empty land around there, but the downtown looked really cute.
