Native American Art
August 11, 2014
When I was in Gruene, Texas to meet fellow Smuggers Kathy Clark & Hillary Shemin, I stayed at an amazing bed & breakfast called the Gruene Apple Inn. All of the rooms were "themed" and the one I was in was named the "Broken Arrow" room. It was just lovely.
The walls were painted to look as though your were inside a leather teepee. There were a lot of wonderful native American art, natural touches (woven wood baskets, a chandelier made of twigs, the canopy, footboard and headboard of the bed was constructed totally of beautiful wood in a criscross pattern and it was even replete with a Dream Catcher over the bed. This was one of the pieces of art in the room. I love wood, so I was quite taken with this carving.
The B&B had private bathrooms, private patios (mine over looked the river), a movie theatre, game room, gorgeous living/socializing areas, a library and a lovely dining room and kitchen. Should you ever find yourself in Gruene, TX I can highly recommend the Greune Apple Inn. It's within walking distance of all the great places in Gruene.
"I've always been interested in the history of the West, our country and particularly as it relates to the Native Americans - the original Americans." ~ Beau Bridges
Get out and enjoy some nature today my friends.
