I for one will never forget and I’m sure many of you will not either. Yesterday, 18 years ago, 2,977 people went to sleep in preparation for their morning activities on 9/11/01. None of the 2,977 were alive after 11:00 a.m. that morning. Please hug your loved ones today and hold them tight. Life is not to be taken for granted.
This is but a small part of the memorial around the site of the two World Trade center buildings that were destroyed on this day 18 years ago. I’m sure none of us will ever forget that day. This part of the memorial around the reflecting ponds lists all the names of the firefighters and law enforcement officers and others who lost their lives that horrible day.
“I’ve always seen first responders as unsung heroes and very special people because, when everyone else is running away from danger, they run into it.” ~ Dwayne Johnson.
Thank you for your comments and critiques.
Take a few moments to remember today’s history, hug your loved ones, and give thanks for our freedom.
