Believe it or not, there is an International Towing and Recovery Museum. It is in Chattanooga, Tennessee. When we were there a few years ago, we stopped in for a tour of the museum. It is very well done, and I actually enjoyed seeing the evolution of the tow truck designs. According to the website https://internationaltowingmuseum.org) Chattanooga has been credited as the birthplace of the tow truck thanks to inventor Ernest Holmes Sr and his son Ernest Jr who would go on to establish a major towing manufacturing business named Ernest Holmes Company.
“I've never been big on cars. When I first got to Hollywood, I bought a used car from Avis. I drove that until I almost had to pay someone to tow it away.” ~ Vince Vaughn
