We saw a lot of the ‘Traffic Calming” signs while we were driving around Ireland in 2018. Every time I saw one it made me smile. It just seemed to be so much more gentile than some of our signs in the US. Generally, the signs were seen when the road was narrowing from 4 lanes to two, typically as we were approaching towns and villages.
