"Let us be moral. Let us contemplate existence." ~ Charles Dickens
While we were in Nicaragua, we fell into the habit of stopping off at the many seaside restaurants for a small lunch, relaxation & conversation with our good friends. As we walked into this restaurant, I was struck by the pose of this gentleman that was sitting towards the back. He looked so deep in thought and of course my active mind began to wander down story paths as to what he might be contemplating.
We didn't interrupt his solitude, but a photo like this always reminds me of my interest in the every day lives of people I encounter. What are their joys, their sorrows, what drives them to do what the do, what indeed do they do each day, and much more.
I have so appreciated your comments on the Nicaraguan series, there's several more photos to share, but it will be coming to an end in probably the next week or so. It was such a wonderful experience, and I really enjoyed the people there.
Have a thoughtful day today my friends!
