Ahh Mom..........come on, this is such a comfy spot to hang out. Why do I have to go outside?

Lucky is enjoying a rare night in the house because it's pretty cold outside.

Have a "warm" sort of snuggly day my friends.

A gorgeous 1964 Mustang!!!!!!!!!! Notice the albums displayed near the car - How many of you remember them? I remember all of them.

I'm totally 'digging' this '64 Mustang, it reminds me of when I saw the first one as a young girl. Fell in love with 'em then - now, many years later I own two Mustangs. Yay!

Thanks to everyone for the many birthday wishes on Facebook last week. While in Houston the days and evenings were long, so no time to browse photos & comment.

Headed out again Monday for Birmingham, will be there all week. Hopefully I'll find some time to comment.

The weekends are about the only time I'm home now it seems. I don't see an end to that pattern for several more months.

Happy day my friends!

I'm headed back out for a week of business meetings in Houston this week. I'll do the best I can to comment.

Posted late today, just too busy. :-))

Here's a cute shot from the National Fairlane Club show. Not a real dog, but cute nonetheless.

Enjoy!

Best regards,

For over a century people from around the world have come to rural Central Kentucky to honor the humble beginnings of our 16th president, Abraham Lincoln. His early life on Kentucky's frontier shaped his character and prepared him to lead the nation through Civil War. The country's first memorial to Lincoln, built with donations from young and old, enshrines the symbolic birthplace cabin. This wonderful memorial to our 16th President's humble beginnings is near Knob Creek, KY, about 14 miles from where my grandmother was born and lived until she was 16 (in 1914) when the family moved to Oklahoma.

Rows, and rows of tobacco (I think). Taken on our trip (from the moving car) to Lexington, KY last summer. Notice the red, sandy soil here.

I'm not sure that it's tobacco growing here - I'd love your inputs. Nevertheless, I love the symetery of the rows, the green and red sand soil. Lovely to the eye of this old farm girl.

SOOC except for frame.

Hope you enjoy.

Best,
Linda

PS - still mining older photos.

Oh what stories these windows in this old house could tell..................

SOOC - best viewed in larger sizes.

Have a great day my friends!

So sorry that I didn't get a shot of the information card on this lovely classic. However, I did really like the reflections of the 1957 Chevrolet Cameo pickup in the side door. For those of you that have watched my Smug postings over the years - you know reflections are a love of mine, and this one is one of my recent - re-discovered shots.

Thanks for all your kind comments, and the warm welcome back to the Daily Community. I'm going to try to keep up the pace of posting each day. You guys rock!!!

As mentioned, I'm combing through some of last year's photos & reviewing them. Many of you that have followed me on the Daily Community have seen this outstanding 1937 Ford before. However, I thought I'd post another "front" shot of this beauty. I LOVE the vibrant color, the grill and the tear drop headlights. During the holidays I received an email from a gentleman in Michigan that was putting together a family tree book. He stated that is Uncle invented this grill, he'd seen it on Smug & requested permission to use it in his book. Of course I said yes, and sent him the original shot of it.

This has been enhanced to deepen the reflections and shadows - all else is SOOC. See the former daily shot of this beauty here: http://lgood.smugmug.com/Other/Daily-Photos/12484643_NvHx9n#!i=1953065084&k=8WDcPt4

Be blessed, and enjoy your Sunday. Bill & I are headed back to Big D from Reno, NV in the morning.

"Hey! That's a girl!"

That's what the boys seem to be saying as they prepare to take the field to begin thier Little League Baseball game. I loved that expression on her face, she's not bothered at all.

Converted to B&W and vignette added. Hope this gives you a smile today.

Have a wonderful day!

An ancient and rusted gate in an abandoned cemetary about 10 miles from our house. I liked the rust, the design and the repeating patterns in this shot.

Best wishes,
