Now here's a real beauty!!! This is a 1948 Chevrolet truck that has been dressed up in beautiful silver and flat black. Obviously not true to the original, but a real head turner for sure. The interior is red and black leather, and it is pristine inside and out. I applied a psuedo HDR filter in Topaz, and blurred out the tag for privacy.

The red/pink strip at the front of the fender near the headlight is a reflection from a red 1961 Impala parked nearby. Look closely and you can see the wheel of that car in the reflection

Seen at the recent Cars in the Park show at Waxahachie, TX

Have a silvery sort of day my friends,

"Beware silent cars." ~ A warning notice displayed in the Rolls-Royce factory

This hood ornament was seen on a 1929 Graham Paige car. However, the hood ornament is from a Rolls Royce. The ornament is called the Spirit of Ecstacy and sometimes known in the United States as the Flying Lady. The designer was John Walter Edward Douglas-Scott-Montagu, (second Lord Montagu of Beaulieu after 1905, a pioneer of the automobile movement, and editor of The Car Illustrated magazine from 1902).

This is an SOOC except for the frame. The two glowing dots in the background are mysteries to me, I have no idea what caused them, but rather than try to clone them out I just left them as a slight measure of interest.

See a full shot of the Graham Paige car, click here. The car was a dark gray color, but in this version I have converted the shot to black & white.

A 1929 Graham Paige from the 2012 Cars in the Park show at Getzendaner Park in Waxahachie, Texas. Processed with a black and white filter. The car's original color is a dark gray. A view from the rear of the 1948 Ford Anglia hot rod at a car show in 2011. See the next photo and a close up of the 'tricked out' 3-deuces in an upcoming Daily photo.

This is a photo of an 'extreme' hot rod'd 1948 Ford Angelia as seen at a car show last year. I loved everything about this car, including the 'tricked out' three deuces. See them in a close up in an upcoming Daily.

There's hundreds of song lyrics about hot rod cars and their drivers - it's truly an American passion. My favorite is from Commander Cody and the Lost Planet Airmen's song “Hot Rod Lincoln”

“My pappy said “Son, you’re gonna drive me to drinkin’ if you don’t stop drivin’ that Hot Rod Lincoln.”

Well, these three deuces - with the pretty hats (decorations) on top, aren't on a Lincoln, but I thought they were really cool.

These are on a 1948 Ford Anglia that was really a neat hot rod. Click here to see other photos of this cool car:

Did you know that the Flying Car of Harry Potter fame was also an Anglia? Yes, it was....not sure what year, but it certainly didn't look like this Anglia. Check it out: http://harrypotter.wikia.com/wiki/Flying_Ford_Anglia

Have an amazing and shiny day today my friends!

Sorry - one more & the last photo of the 2008 Roush. I just couldn't resist the reflections on this one. Look closely, and you'll see the SP in the lower right fender.

Thanks for your kind comments and for living through 3 days of photos of my new pony car.

I promise a different photo subject tomorrow. :-))

And here's another one shot (you'll see one more of the Roush tomorrow) of my new pony with her top down.

Hope you enjoy. Thanks for indulging me in presenting these photos.

Bill and I enroute to Lexington, KY taking his 1966 Fairlane to the National Fairlane show - Lots of photo ops on the way that I will share in the next few weeks.

Have a grand day my friends!
